Purchasing a Thriftly Subscription

After you finish your API testing and proof-of-concept phase, you should consider upgrading your free-forever Thriftly Deployment access by purchasing a Thriftly subscription. Thriftly subscriptions provide you (and your application developers) with more robust API capabilities, allowing you to transfer more data, create more endpoints, and spin up more pools and processes.

Thriftly offers three subscription pricing plans, differentiated based on their number of included endpoints. These plans are designed to cover a variety of organizations’ needs, from those who need only one API endpoint to those who need dozens or even hundreds of endpoints to handle the API traffic they expect to receive:

  • Basic: A Basic Thriftly subscription includes one API endpoint, with unlimited data transfer capabilities, for the price of $20.00 per month. If you expect to deploy only one API-containing application, receive light API traffic, and make simple API calls, the Basic plan is likely right for you.

  • Standard: A Standard Thriftly subscription includes five API endpoints for the price of $50.00 per month. If you expect to deploy multiple endpoints or applications, receive medium API traffic, or make some complex API calls, you’ll want to choose the Standard plan.

  • Pro: A Pro Thriftly subscription includes twenty API endpoints for the price of $199.00 per month. If you expect to deploy a large number of endpoints or applications, receive heavy API traffic, or make a large number of complex API calls, you’ll want to choose the Pro plan.

Note

The guidelines laid out above are just that, guidelines. For example, if you know your APIs will receive heavy traffic during a certain time period, but less traffic during others, you may want to purchase additional endpoints to handle your periods of heavy traffic. We recommend you perform realistic testing, using a variety of deployment models, to determine the ideal number of endpoints and pools for your application.

Additionally, you can purchase a combination of subscriptions or multiples of the same subscription if necessary. For example, if you determine that you need access to six API endpoints, you can purchase both a Standard and Basic subscription. Or, if you want to deploy your application from multiple machines, you can purchase multiple subscriptions to receive multiple license activations.
